Shipped in 1.0
Arya 1.0.3 for Mac is out as a free, signed and notarized universal DMG for Apple silicon and Intel Macs running macOS 14 or later. The Mac app and the browser editor share one open project format.
- Timeline editing: Blade, ripple, roll, slip and slide, snapping, markers, automatic proxies, nested compositions, multicam with audio sync for up to nine angles, and FCPXML and OpenTimelineIO interchange.
- Color and motion: Serial, parallel and layer-mixer color nodes, wheels, curves, HSL qualifiers, circle, rectangle and linear windows, .cube LUTs, four scopes, keyframe value and speed graphs, expressions, vector titles and shapes, masks, track mattes and point and box tracking.
- Audio and shorts: Track mixer with parametric EQ, compressor, gate, de-esser, limiter, reverb, delay, denoise, voice cleanup, LUFS and true-peak metering, and 9:16, 1:1 and 16:9 shorts compositions with captions and reframing.
- AI assistant and Figma: Optional plain-language timeline editing through your own Claude Code, Codex or Google Gemini (beta) account with undoable change receipts, and Figma frame import via personal access token or MCP.

| Work | Current status |
|---|---|
| Mac app interface | Arya 1.0.3 is available on the download page. Native SwiftUI panels are being expanded to cover every tool in the local browser editor. |
| iPhone and iPad | Shared project format is in testing on devices. Public iPhone and iPad builds are coming later. |
| Hosted browser editor | Available at /editor/ (beta) for editing, color, motion and audio. AI assistant, Figma import, transcription, captions and interchange require the Mac app or local browser editor. |
| Figma sign-in | Personal access tokens work today. Claude Code users with the Figma MCP server can also ask Claude to import frames. Public OAuth sign-in is planned for a future update. |
| Contributions | A provider and checkout destinations still need setup. This site cannot collect payments. |
Known limits
Keep these current boundaries in mind when choosing Arya for a project:
- The hosted browser editor at
/editor/runs in browser storage only: no AI assistant, Figma import, speech transcription, captions, denoise, voice cleanup or FCPXML and OTIO interchange. Its exports are capped at five minutes and limited to H.264, HEVC, WAV and AAC. The Mac app and the local browser editor export ProRes 4444 and PNG sequences with alpha. - The Mac app's native interface does not expose every panel shown in the browser editor captures yet; running the local browser editor from source provides all panels on your Mac today.
- Motion tracking follows a point or box; there is no planar tracker and no third-party plug-in host.
- Premiere XML and AAF are not supported, and EDL is export only (CMX 3600, from the local browser editor). Move timelines with FCPXML or OpenTimelineIO, and captions with SRT or WebVTT.
- Figma imports convert text, basic shapes and nested frames into editable layers, while complex vectors, boolean shapes, multi-fill layers and shadows arrive as rendered images.
- Reference color matching compares overall color statistics and should be checked by eye on the scopes.
